How Treatment Works
Rentokil uses a mobile system - the flexi heat pod - to deliver dry transferable heat to a contained area.
The Entotherm process works by heating up the space, and the infested objects within it, to 56°C - 60°C. At this temperature all life stages of insects - from eggs and larvae to adults - will die within one treatment. At 56°C the protein within the bodies of pest species such bed bugs and cockroaches is denatured and the waxy layers on the outside of the insect are disrupted, causing dehydration and death.
The treatment is suitable for use against wood boring insects, moulds and pathogens.
