  • The adult Common Furniture beetle 3–4mm in length. Its thorax is significantly humped, concealing the head.
  • Larva are usually concealed in wood.


  • Optimum conditions for development of Common Furniture beetles are 22–23°C.


  • Common Furniture beetles are not regarded as a pest of stored products, although their damage is timber related.
